Is your OBGYN closer to your work or home?
Once I conceive, I would probably want an OBGYN close to work so it would be convenient to go to doctor appointments throughout the 10 months. However, I will probably be home when we plan to deliver.
Was wondering how other girls picked their OBGYN.

closer to home but I only work 5 minutes from home...I didn't really mind where the office was, just wanted good Dr's...

Closer to home. Keep in mind that usually the doctor has admitting rights to hospitals that are closer to his/her office so you need to think about where you would want to deliver.
For me, I work in the city and live in central suffolk, so I would not want to deliver in the city!
My ob/gyn's office has later evening hours, I am sure most do.

Just down the road from my office. It takes me about 5 minutes to get there from work and about 30 from home.

My obgyn is closer to work (in midtown) and delivers at NYU. I live in Queens so it's not a real issue that I will deliver in the city. And, I am likely moving even closer within the next year.

My dr was 20 mins from my house, an hour and 15 mins from my job. I wanted to deliver at St Charles so I picked a dr that would deliver there (from a recommendation of a relative). I never had any problems going to my appts from work b/c they were open until 8pm.

Mine is closer to work, but I started going to my OB/GYN before I got this job. I'm actually looking for a new doctor for a few reasons, and on that list is the fact that it was a pain in the butt to drive 45 minutes to my frequent appointments when I was pregnant with DD.

Mine is 10 minutes from home BUT they have other offices and one happens to be 5 minutes from my job- so I guess I have the best of both!

Closer to home (10 mins from home) but far from work (25 minutes away).
My office is not open on weekends or past 4:30pm during the week so it's going to be hard.
I am comfortable with the office though and don't want to switch.

i live far from where i work, but picked an obgyn close to my house because that's where i'll be delivering. remember that your obgyn needs to have rights at the hospital to deliver there---you don't want to pick someone close to work and then have to drive to a hospital close to work to deliver out of because they don't have rights at the hospitals near your house. just something to think about.
oh...i just get after work appointments so i don't have to leave work early

mine is down the block from my job, but still close to my house. I was thankful it was close to work b/c i got alot of pain with my dd while pregnant and i was able to hope right over.
