Isabella's one year dr. appointment...
what a nightmare. she screamed as soon as we entered the room.
Then she calmed down until they weighed her (commence screaming)
Then she FREAKED OUT because they had to stick her thumb to take a complete blood count (sobbing and screaming to the point that I had to walk out of the room for a second to compose myself)
She fell asleep in my arms while we chatted with the doc, but launched into it as he examined her and gave TWO shots!!!!
Overall though, he's ecstatic about her development and thinks she is doing great (her molars are coming in, which explains the extraneous crankypants she can be)
Bella is now 22lbs 2 oz (gained 10 oz) 30 inches (gained 1 inch)
...and he alleviated my sippy cup DRAMA, they don't push to wean completely off of the bottle until 15-18 months. Being that she KNOWS how to drink out of it and use it, he said to be gradual with it and not to mind her wanting the bottle. And we are officially on whole milk (we have been for a month )
We have to go back in a month for the flu shot though
ETA: I cried pretty significantly this month, she had such a "Help me Mommy" look on her face, it made me sooooo sad.

Re: Isabella's one year dr. appointment...
I took Sydney for her 8 month appointment yesterday - a little late as she is alreay 8 1/2 but I know exactly what you mean. She was so upset and then fell asleep and thankfully was fine for the rest of the day. She also weighs the same as Bella and is 3+ months younger!

Awww...so sorry the shots and blood test were so traumatic!
We had our 1 year visit yesterday too...21.12 lbs. and 30 inches. What big girls!!!
Good luck with the flu shot, we're going next month too and the chicken pox shot the month after that!!!

I hate the shot part
Did they say anything about being able to turn her around in her car seat?
