thoughts??? I have a jar of vodka sauce and I'm snowed in with not many other options... thoughts?

why not? 
ETS - there is nothing in ala vodka sauce that will harm you  any alcohol that is used while cooking (in almost all cases) burns off during the cooking process 
hey, if it had alcohol in it, they would ID. Kids LOVE ala vodka sauce

i have stayed away from it, although there were a few times I really wanted it. I just dont think I need to eat it that badly, I am not convinced that it all burns off.

I'm being SUPER anal about eating (I'm sure by my 2nd pregnancy I'll be drinking straight rum  ) so I am not eating anything that had alcohol in it in any point in time.
I read a nutrition book "Feed the Belly" that said that as much as 40% of alcohol remains when you cook with it. Not worth it, IMO.
I have been substituting Odouls in beer recipes/marinades but haven't found a good wine/liquor cooking substitute.

True, but it really depends on how long it cooks for. Jar sauce is so processed I doubt it has any alcohol left. And I doubt they even use real alcohol in most jar sauces.
Even for home cooked things, anything cooks for over 60 minutes, enough to evaporate all of the alcohol.

Honestly, ever see someone get drunk off the penne at a wedding? Ever see an alcoholic downing jars of vodka sauce?

Children eat it- do you seem them acting drunk and buzzed from the booze in it?'
Have you ever caught a buzz off a plate of pasta?
It would be equivilant to a sip of alchohol I bet.
I really don't think your baby would suffer from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome from a serving of vodka sauce.

I eat it occasionally. I'm sure the amount of alcohol in jarred sauce, if any, is minimal. Read the ingredients list.
In regards to alcohol burning off, most of it does burn off. It's true what other posters said that the longer you cook the dish, the more the alcohol will burn off. It's such a trivial amount to begin with, even when you order it at a restaurant. I wouldn't worry and enjoy .
