Isn't it amazing how our kids have "grown up" with each other?

Someone had FMed me a question so I searched back on one word & my user name. Tons of posts came back up, things we've shared over the years - and yet so many kids I've never met but had the honor of reading about the trials & tribulations.

I read my post the day Joseph read his first book, the first day I dropped them off at a new place, the day Joseph wrote his greatest wish on a piece of paper (I wish candy were healthy), etc.

Then I read old posts of everyone else's...from a MIL during the holocaust, the person who was crying after she dropped her kids off at daycare, the moms that wrote they can't wait until they aren't pregnant anymore so they can worry less about their kids (right because that will definitely happenChat IconChat Icon)...moms of kids that are now almost elementary schoolers.

I know this site has a ton of drama. Plenty of times I debate whether contributions of a BTDT are even revelant anymore. Over the years, I have to say this has been a gift to me. To be able to share parenting, hopes & fears. To have you guys along for the ride.

Anyway, thanks for being there.Chat Icon

I agree! It's so amazing! I know I don't post much anymore, but this site was the most valuable thing ever when dd was an infant- where else an you find other moms during the 3am feeding to obsess with?Chat Icon
I still come here when I have a question and need a quick answer, and I love keeping up with all the kids of the moms I rememeber from when we were planning our weddings together.

Totally agree. Sometimes I forget that I don't *know* these kids IRL!

Agreed.... I just think about how I stumbled onto LIW when I was planning my wedding 8 yrs ago and chatted with a bunch of other brides. I never thought I'd still be "chatting" or reading posts from the same group of people from a website. We've gone from brides to wives and now moms (some already on the 3rd kid).

I can say over the years I've had so many emotions with so many people that I don't know IRL. There has been tears, laughter, joy, shock, outrage, prayers, advice, excitement, reminder how great people can be, and the list goes on and on.

I agree. Funny Roman just turned 5 yesterday and I was searching for an old post and came across a few tear jerker posts both funny and sad. I'm grateful for this site and for "getting to know" so many moms and kiddies.

It really is amazing to see how all of our kids have grown up. Sometimes I do a double take when I see some of the avatars on here and realize everyone's kids are growing up so fast! I feel like it was just yesterday I was posting about Ava's milk allergy as a baby, and now she's reading and writing and talking back to meChat Icon
