Istanbul airport terror attack
What's scary is that we stand in line for god knows how long, packed like sardines, to get TO security. Easy to see how it's a prime target for terrorists.

Horrifying I truly hope as inconvenient as it would be to get through security that all major US airports put some sort of security in place in their arrivals halls as right now they are wide open for crazies like these to walk in and detonate.

Istanbul airport terror attack
It's nauseating. We were at Hershey over the weekend, I pulled my Dh over and set a "if ANYTHING goes down" conversation. Sickening.

My inlaws just took a trip to vegas and were shocked that got to skip the security lines because of some type of priority tickets that they paid for. This shouldn't be possible at all especially with everything that is going on these days.

When you buy business or higher you don't skip the lines as in you don't go thru security, you skip the line as in there is a separate much shorter line for folks who bought a higher class ticket. You still have to go thru security.

My dad and stepmom got some tsa clearance thing so they go through metal detectors and stuff but they don't have to remove shoes, belts, laptops, or liquids.

That is TSA Pre. I'm going to get fingerprinted for that in a few weeks.
But the carriers that have different ticket classes will have different security lines. Same security procedure just different shorter line (sometimes!) I know Delta does this, for example.

Re: Istanbul airport terror attack
I was in Istanbul for a long layover in April - the airport was so secure, but it seems that nothing is enough these days. Horrifying.

I just got this. I was shocked at how easy and fast it was to get considering what's gone on in this world. My bf had it and sailed right through security while I was taken off line and thoroughly searched. Kinda scary if you ask me...

How long does it take to get the actual approval after the appointment?
I've been waiting 45 days for a Saturday fingerprint appointment - 2 more weeks to go.....
