It is finally officially all over!!!!! Thank god!!!!
So after the roller coaster that was this pregnancy it's all officially over and behind us. I finished bleeding on Friday and as of today my blood work shows negative hcG. So now we're back to square one and ready to try again.
My RE wants a consult and then they want us to wait BUT everyone who I have spoken to said they tried right away and almost all of them got pregnant right away and had a healthy baby. You're suppose to be VERY fertile right after a miscarriage so I plan on BD'ing like a maniac and hopefully we'll just lucky on our own. I can't wait to get pregnant again and hopefully the next time things will progress just fine!!
Thank you to everyone who was so supportive and nice throughout this whole ordeal. It meant a lot. Hopefully I will have some good news to post about soon!!

I'm glad it's over for you. I know how hard it can be and how much you just want to go on.
The reason they tell you to wait is because there is no real way to date the pregnancy if it happens before AF shows up on it's own again. My friend got preggers again in between and like you said had a healthy baby...it's definitely possible, but may cause a bit of stress if you get pregnant again.
I waited till AF showed to "try" but we didnt prevent either before that...I hope it happens for you!

I'm glad that the physical part of your miscarriage is over. Sadly, I know first hand how that experience is and what a terrible one as well. I would have to agree on waiting after a miscarriage to conceive for a couple of reasons. I think a consult with the RE is a way to ask questions about the chemical or miscarriage and future cycles. Miscarriages happen for a reason. But, I think it's important for emotional time and reflection. I've learned that if you don't give yourself time to grieve, you'll have a harder time dealing with it later. I realize that everyone is different and that feelings pass but when you mix in your regualr pms hormones and pregnancy hormones, it makes for an even bigger roller coaster. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for the advice but honestly, I really am 100% emotionally fine. I've had weeks (really from the moment I got my BFP) to accept what happened and I am fine. I never saw a baby or heard a heartbeat. It was a BFP by blood work only so it's not like I was attached to this "baby" really. I think it's made it a lot easier to deal with.
For me, I am 100% ready now to try again. I want to be pregnant asap, I can't wait to add to our family, and I am excited about the future. A miscarriage really stinks and it was sad but I came to terms with it all a while ago and for the past few weeks I've just been anxiously looking ahead to TTC again. Everyone is different and some people need more time to deal but it all depends on your situation and your personality too. I appreciate the concern but I am really good and really past it.
In terms of my miscarriage itself, the RE already said they aren't concerned with there being a problem inherently with either DH or me. Early miscarriages are common, for whatever reason sometimes things don't progress as they should and that's all that happened with me. As of now, I am back to normal. My hcG dropped FAST and is now completely out of my system, I passed the sac/embryo, bled as expected, and didn't need any sort of intervention to "clean things out". I am for all intents and purposes like everyone else now. Just back to square one and ready to get back on the TTC horse.
And for someone like me who has needed the RE to conceive and have a baby the fact that there is even a possibility I can do this on my own right now I am taking advantage of it. I will not let this opportunity pass me by. You're suppose to be super fertile after a miscarriage and I am all for using that to my advantage. I will take my chances and hope I get lucky for once without the help of my RE. Ya never know!!!

I'm glad this is something you can put behind you now.
How long are they telling you you have to wait, and what reasons are they giving you?
I miscarried the begnning of March 08, got AF on my own 5 weeks later, and then started a clomid cycle. I think they told me I needed to wait for AF or 8 weeks until they would give me provera.

They said 2-3 months which just sounds completely ridiculous and LOOOOOOOONG to me. I don't really know why, my hcG dropped right away and is now gone, I bled everything out, didn't need a D&C so all that being said I can't see why I would need to wait so long. Like I said, I will cross my fingers and try on my own and if I don't get lucky I will be on them to move things along. I am 35............I don't want to waste 3 months doing nothing when I could be TTC.
