I saw that. As much as I love the fact that the Italian team won and I am not naive and know how much trash talking happens, I do think there is a level of trash talking that should be stopped in sports. And to me, if the comments were racial, they crossed the line and should be reprimanded. Reprimanded with a head butt? No. But reprimanded with a yellow card, si. Just because trash talking happens does not mean it is okay or should be tolerated once it gets to a certain point. FIFA has good sportsmanship rules (man down, kick the ball out of bounds) -- should there not a limit on what players can say to one another in the course of a game?

trash talking is as old as sports. it's part of it.
