ITouch - How likely to get WiFi while driving?

Hello-

So the ITouch, I think, has Google maps on it.

For those that have the ITouch, how likely are you to get WiFi access while you're driving?

I'm going to be buying my first IPod and I'm wondering if I should go with the ITouch or just upgrade my cell phone to something with VZ Navigator.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

The Ipod is not a GPS in a sense. WiFi spots will come and go as you drive. It sounds like VZ Navigator is a good solution or just buy a GPS. I got one for 100 bucks and works like a 400 verison.

it depends on where you're driving. For ex- if you're driving around Roosevelt field, there's so many businesses around there that you're likely to pick up a WiFi (also, near most starbucks and D&Ds)... but if you're on a road trip and on I95, it's not too likely (though, most rest stops have them now, there's no signal on the road).

DH loves his and, for the places that he spends most of his time at, he almost always has a signal, so it was a good fit for him. hth.
