Tiger Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren have welcomed a baby boy! Their son was born on Sunday.

The couple have named him Charlie Axel Woods. A statement on Woods’ web site reads, “Both Charlie and Elin are doing great and we want to thank everyone for their sincere best wishes and kind thoughts.”

This is their second child. Daughter Sam Alexis was born in June 2007.

Last week Woods posted on the PGA Tour Web Site about his excitement on the baby’s arrival and returning to competing again. He wrote, “Elin, Sam and I are very excited for the new baby to arrive, although that’s when the real lack of sleep begins.”
