It's already December (job related)
and I'm already thinking about next September. I'm getting so worried that I won't be able to find a public school job. I don't know what else to do.
The college I got my Literacy degree in has a reading clinic. My professor chose me to work in the clinic if I wanted to. That was in January. I turned it down because I was tutoring 2 children 4 days a week. The clinic keeps asking me if I want to work there and tells me to keep them in mind. I only tutor 1 or 2 days a week now. I was thinking about starting the reading clinic in January.
Do you think this will help me in any way with getting a job? Of course I will be putting this on my resume. As I said im getting so worried. I just don't want to teach in the catholic diocese anymore.
TIA!!!

i would take the reading clinic job... it's extra money and it's explicit experience in teaching reading. that can only help you in your job search.
keep your eye out in the NY times and on the BOCES websites... they start posting jobs for september as early as february.
GOOD LUCK!

yes i think that they would look at working in a reading clinic as better expereince then privately tutoring. i say do it!
