Its July 18th --- do you think its too late to book...
an e-party at a hall for a Sunday in august...SIL still needs to send out invites and get RSVP's back.
i told her i think sept might be better but she's insisting she can do it and it'll be enough notice for everyone to have it in august.
NOTE: SHE HAS NOT EVEN BOOKED A PLACE YET!

I'm sure it can be done, but it won't be easy. She'll have to compromise I'm sure.

not enough notice
eparty, showers, bday invites, etc.. should at least be mailed 6 weeks beforehand
nix the rsvp cards....tell her to keep it informal and have people call and RSVP like they would for a shower

i agree about the RSVP thing. she needs to focus on finding the place first, getting a date for sept, then mailing out the invites.

Oh wait - she wants a formal e-party at this late date???
I was thinking if she rented out the local KOC, catered a buffet and sent out an evite to everyone it could be done... low key. Nothing fancy though. You need at least 3 months to plan a formal party IMO.

nope...she wants at a really nice restaurant or catering hall. i dont think anything will even be available.
