Its not the 4th of July STOP with the fireworks
WHY are people setting off fireworks???? DD was already sleeping badly tonight because we are transitioning her out of the swaddle and now some stupid neighbor of mine is setting off fireworks. She has already woken up twice and every time one comes off I watch the monitor light up and hold my breath.

Just be happy you arent my neighbors...
The guy across the street always has a ton...as do the people on the next block..they tend to break them out for every holiday, season, bbQ, you name it...
All in all we dont mind....

I don't know where you live but RVC was having there firework show. We were at a friend's for dinner and I thought it was thunder!!!

They light them off from May till October around here
The rain made it the quietest June since we moved in.

Lauren.. do you have the AC on? If not, I would put it on even just the fan to drown out the sound.

There are two fireworks shows this week in the area also. I would get something to drown out the noise. Maybe a fan or a/c unit on high.

me and FH were just talking about this before, its so annoying, especially the ones that are just a big BOOM, my dogs go crazy in turn waking the baby up

I'm with you. I'm ready to go outside with a calendar to show these idiots that July 4th has come and gone. Last Sunday at 2 am, everyone was fast asleep until the chuckleheads on my block decided to light up a bomb that shook my house. Thank g-d that Shaylie actually slept through that. I was pizzed. I was ready to call the cops or something.

We get it ALL year long here too !
Theres someone on the next street who must have an arsenal of the stuff, seriously when I say all year I mean it !
And my DS and DD's room is in the front of the house where their block faces and their rooms light up like we are under siege and its loud as can be...We can't figure out whose house it is though...And up until this summer my DS was afraid of them ( which on top of his sleep issues, makes for not fun nights )

we heard them here last night in Hoboken too-- what is wrong with people?
I have developed such an annoyance for people who "disturb the peace". Don't they know that there are sleeping babies everywhere???
