It's Official! Actress Shannen Doherty Starring on 90210 Spin-Off
Shannen Doherty is returning to 90210.
The actress, 37, has been cast on CW's upcoming 90210 spin-off, the show's executive producer, Gabe Sachs, announced at the Television Critics Association fall press tour Saturday.
She will reprise her role as Brenda Walsh, who, after a successful theater career, has returned to West Beverly High as a guest director for the school’s musical production.
The announcement comes weeks after her rep confirmed to Us that the star was in talks to join the spin-off, which is set to air September 2.
Doherty isn't the only familiar face.
New mom Tori Spelling is also slated reprise her role as Donna Martin down the line.
Jennie Garth, who played blonde rich girl Kelly Taylor, will star in several episodes as a high school guidance counselor.
Garth - who once got into a fistfight on-set with Doherty - has said she would have no problem if Doherty was cast.
"A lot of time has passed, and I'm a big girl," she said.

BTW does anyone know, did Tori Spelling back out? Maybe bc of Shannen?
Never mind, found this on People!
Earlier this month, Tori Spelling, who played Donna Martin in the original, was also announced as a returning cast member but said she would be unable to appear in the pilot of the spin-off after giving birth to her daughter in June.
“I’m looking forward to returning to 90210 in a later episode,” Spelling told PEOPLE earlier this month.

I hate to admit this, but I love Brenda, and Shannen is one of the most beautiful actresses ever.
Im happy to, I love the character Brenda. Although I think this spin off may be cheesy I am definately tuning in to find out.

I think it's great for the show that she is coming back but I do not think she is beautiful at all-I think she is weird looking.
