It's Sunday and DS is sick...what meds can I give him?

He is 4 months old and is coughing a lot, and his nose sounds all runny and congested when he breathes. He isn't crying, but I can tell he doesn't feel good because he's antsy and won't eat as much.

But it's Sunday so I can't take him to the Dr. until tomorrow. Is there anything I can give him to treat this? Tylenol, Dimetapp, Robitussin, etc? Any advice please?

My Ped would not give a baby anything before 6 months. Best thing for them is Saline drops & let them sleep in their bucket/car seat. Keep it slightly cooler in your house & when he's sleeping use a humidifier.

Before 6 months you can give tylenol but I don't think it will help unless he has a fever.

Don't give a decongestant, they mess with the heart rate.

Use the humidifier, boogie sucker, and saline nose drops.

My ped. let me give Little Noses, along with saline drops and using the humidifier. Good luck. It's terrible when your baby is sick!

Can you atleast call the Ped and see what they recommend? Since he is so young I would not want to give anything before I spoke w/ a doc.

My pediatrician prescribed pedia-care cough and decongestant when DS was under 6 months and was sick with a cough/cold. I also used the humidifier~
