IUD & Breastfeeding
I know they say that Mirena is safe to use while BF, but I am curious if anyone had one inserted while BF and did it affect your supply at all or did you have any other complications?
I am considering getting and IUD but want to make sure there wont issues with BF afterwards!

I considered getting it, and my doctor said that there was NO WAY that it could affect my supply.
But I searched around a LOT on the internet, and found many women saying that it DID ruin their supply. . .maybe it is in their heads, but I didn't want to chance it.

I got it early (3 months?) and Bf to 21 months no problems. BUT they cut the string kinda short so when I had it taken out I almost needed to go to the OR to have it taken out since the uterus relaxed when I stopped BF and the string was in my cervix!

I was concerned it would and went with paragaurd instead. My supply was always really sensitive though.
