IUI #4. Game on. UPDATE: 9DpIUI Update #2: 8/26
((LONG))
Let's hope it was very "re" productive weekend for us.. I know.. I know. I am hysterical! LOL
I went for my blood work and sonogram on Saturday to check out my follies after the Clomid. I had used my OPK's Friday morning, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning... All negative. So when they told me I had one lead follie at 22mm, I was a little shocked. I had 4 other follies all less than 10mm. :( I don't know how I feel about that yet. I did have one that got much bigger than it usually does alone. I guess we were shooting for more though. Next month, I will be taking a whole pill of Clomid. I only took a half of a pill this month.
So, anyway, they were like, "we don't think you are surging but, lets take some blood and check anyway". Around 2 pm the phone rings. Guess what? I was surging. The surge is technically 25something and I was at 23something but, they didn't feel comfortable waiting for Monday morning. So, Sunday morning (I got a positive OPK Sunday morning also) we went for the IUI.
Then we went home and after Stephen's softball game I made him Bd. I tried to coherse him to Bd again later but, he told me it was too much. So, I may jump him again tonight for good measure. LOL!! I think I ovulated (based on the crazy mittelschmerz I had at like 11pm) sometime last night.
So, cross your fingers. The Two Week Wait is beginning! (faint)
******Update: ****** I'll keep it all on one thread for clarity..
Today is 9DpIUI. Fourth IUI. First Clomid cycle...... HSG this cycle......
After today I cannot be held accountable for my actions when it comes to POAS. Really.
The girls hurt on the side, they are big, I am gassy, My IBS is acting up, I have pms-y cramps.
The Boobs and the cramps are par for the course. I always get that.
But the IBS and the gas.. not so much. That is usually the day of AF or the day before. I even puked a little yesterday.. just a little though. VERY WEIRD for me. I don't want to read too much into it though. I have a very weak tummy and it could just be an IBS flare up.
I have lots of activities to keep me busy today. Tomorrow is another story. Then on Thursday we are going upstate until Tuesday. Yeah.. Stuck in a cabin with a weak shower, possibly with AF. Fun. Maybe she won't show?
UPDATE: 8/26
I'm back and I have Af.
I tested again on Friday and it was a BFN. BUT I had the most sore nips ever and I really thought there was a chance. But no... AF came yesterday. So I came home from vacay so I can get my CD3 testing done and my new script for more clomid. Hopefully that will be Thursday and I will go back up to the cabin on Friday to continue to work on the new kitchen.
This month was such an emotional blow for Dh and I. We both have been crying on and off since yesterday morning. I really thought that the HSG and the clomid togther would be it..
The worst part is that I just don't know what our problem is. Yeah we have MF, but it is not too severe and the IUI overcomes that. PLUS dh's motility has been SOOO much better! The last time they were in the normal range pre-wash! So what gives? What is our diagnosis? The only nagging thing is those three FSH levels.. 10, 10, and then 12. I didn't ask what last months was, I guess I need to.. and I will find out what it is this month. But even so.. those numbers are not too bad and I can't imagine that is what is causing all of this.
It just kills me that we were pg once on our own. (it ended in a m/c) but, still... we did it. So why a year later has it not happened again?
I am just so so devasted.

Re: IUI #4. Game on. UPDATE: 9DpIUI Update #2: 8/26
I am so sorry that AF showed up! I was really hoping for better news from you. But what I have learned over time is we just have to get back up & keep our eyes on the prize. My DH said it to me best, "we will NEVER know what this is happening to us, but it could be a lot worse" He is right.
I would definately ask your RE what your FSH levels were last month & also see if there is anything else that he is thinking in terms of a plan

Sigh....
Yeah.. I think since I am off this week I will try to make the appointment at whatever office Dr. SanRoman will be at on Thursday. That way we can chat. He told me to try and make some more appointments where he will be. So, since I have the time this week.. I'll give it a try. I don't really want to drive out to Stonybrook though. Hopefully he is in Islip.

Re: IUI #4. Game on. UPDATE: 9DpIUI Update #2: 8/26
I'm so sorry...but there are some questions you should definitely be asking your RE. Anything over 10 in FSH is considered high. Not workable...but high. A lot of RE's will want you to go to DE or at the very least IVF with anything over 10. MF is not overcome easily with IUI. IVF is the best response to MF since you can do ICSI. Otherwise, you are just taking your chances with the sperm getting to the egg...especially when your egg quality is questionable. Have you had an HSG or hystoroscopy...do you know everything is clear? These are tests that should have been done.
I wish you luck...hopefully, you get some answers and soon.

I am so sorry that you got AF. I was really hoping this would be it for you. I think Gerty has a point...I've really seen more people with MF do much better with IVF. It might be something worth thinking about.

I had the HSG this month. All clear. The thing is that Dh had lower motility (25%ish) and low morphology (I think 14% but, I can't remember. BUT... his counts were like 170 million and higher. His lowest count has been 80 million and the last two months he had motility up to 70% after the wash. I have no idea why it got better. I am calling now to get an appointment for tomorrow and I need to bring up these points.
I can't even wrap my mind around DE right now. He did say that after next month, we would be looking at IVF.
ETA: I just called and last months FSH was 7.6. SO I guess I will see tomorrow what this months FSH is.

I'm so sorry. I know what you mean. We got pg on our own too (though ended in m/c) and now I cannot get pg at all (6 IUI's, 2 IVF's). I keep questioning how it even happened to begin with. I dont' know. Just keep moving forward its the only direction keeping me sane.
