IUI cramping?
I know I have posted before how I get cramping a lot after the iui's. We have had 4 months, but 5 total IUIS and all but last months I get bad cramping on my right side. Its actually pretty sharp.
Does anyone get this or know what could cause it? I was thinking it was normal.
I will mention it at the next dr's visit of course, but thought maybe someone here would know...
TIA!

Re: IUI cramping?
It could be from the cervical stenosis, or from the fertility meds. Sometimes when you stimulate your ovaries with the meds. it causes cramping. Cramping can occur after ovulation from the fluid that the follicle releases. Since it's one sided pain, was that the side where your dominant follicule was located ?

Re: IUI cramping?
I was very crampy from Clomid and the HCG trigger. Maybe it was that. Actually my NP and doctor did tell me that some people cramp after IUIs though (and said I likely would given how difficult it was) so I guess it's normal, just not common.

Re: IUI cramping?
I am extremely crampy after an IUI...the Dr. told me it was because my ovaries are sort of in overdrive. They are releasing more than one egg so he said I should expect some cramping due to the multiple eggs. Hope you are feeling better!

Re: IUI cramping?
I had cramping once, during an IUI, and it was when a nurse pratictioner did it. She said it was from the cerix not opening. I think she was just bein a little rough
