IUIs are scheduled- and I have a question
I have an IUI scheduled for Monday morning and then another for Wednesday morning. Yay! Progress. My question is, can we have sex from now until then, or is DH supposed to abstain for a few days before, like with the SA? I would think after the HSG and with the IUIS planned, that we should BD as much as possible to up our chances of conceiving this month. Plus DH already feels "over it" if we don't get preggo this month. So I'm really trying to take every step to make it happen.

my RE always told us to abstain 2 days before but not more than 4 days. So if you BD 2 days before the scheduled IUI than you will be good to go.
I've also had nurses tell me to BD at the time of the trigger shot- which is 36 hours before.

i am always told to abstain 1 day before the IUI.

When I had an IUI on Monday we BD'd Saturday afternoon.

I'm not having a trigger shot. I had my follicle study done yesterday and they think Monday will be ideal for the eggin my left ovary and it looks like I will drop one from the right side too, which is why they want to do Wednesday as well.

It is usually suggested to abstain at least 2 days prior so you get a good sample from DH. Good luck!
