I've been writing thank you cards for weeks--this is just the beginning, isn't it?

Is it true that I will be doing this for every birthday? I should not complain because we got really nice baby gifts. I started to write them when he was about 4 weeks old and now he is 10 weeks. I am still not done and there are supposedly more gifts coming.

I feel like this over the gifts: but like this over writing so many thank yous .

oh yes. I buy thank you cards just to have them in the house since we get random gifts for no particular occasion.......

Oh Kerie, we're still getting baby gifts & Gracelyn is almost 6 months & then we had her christening gifts...then the fun will begin again for Christmas!

i feel like my life is now spent sending mail - thank yous, announcements etc. I print out labels to make life easier!

i just got a new baby girf and had to buy more thank you cards...ds is 7+ months old!

I just finished thank yous today also but mine were for DDs baptism which was almost 4 mths ago
with 3 kids plus I babysit my 2 yr old nephew and the whole neighborhood is always here who has the time to write them

I had my DS in October and since there i cant even remember how many gifts we got and how many thank yous that i had to send then i sent out announcements, then x-mas cards and now baptism invitations... i think i have spent at least $200-$250 on stamps alone then add another 100 for the cards and then when the baptism comes i am going to have to write thank yous. it feels like it is never ending!!!!! Dont get me wrong i appreciate everthing that we have received i just never thought that it would be like this :ahh

I write my thank you's as they come in and I find it helps...I agree with the money spent on stamps. Between announcements, thank you's, christening invitation which are about to go out....

This is just the beginning! Try to write them as the gifts come in that way you aren't so overwhelmed.

I ordered 75 thank yous - and then an additional 25. It was exhausting.

don't feel bad, my baby is 9 weeks and i just wrote my first set of thank-yous YESTERDAY. i feel like SUCH a delinquent, i can't even tell you... but i've just been so overwhelmed, the LAST thing i want to do when i have a moment's rest is write thank-yous

I wrote Thank You's from the day I brought him home (in Jan) up until almost May or June.
The gifts kept coming. I bought packages and packages and have them in my closet. I wrote them out as gifts came in. So much easier that way.

i had gifts still being delivered till dd was 6 mths old..it was great and i really appreciate everything but each time i thought i was finally done my mom would call me and say another of her friends dropped off something for us.

tell me about it--- i just finished sending all of my thank yous out -- and dd is 7 weeks - old - then the same day birth announcements and then there were xmas cards, and next will be christening invites and thank yous from that.....

i have spent more on stamps then groceries lately lol.......

and the kicker - my parents came in and said that they had gotten a nice xmas card from us --- and it was blank - i never even signed it .. lol....

proves that it was all too much.... if only dh would pick up a pen!!!!!!
