I've come to realized - I am definately the worst Customer Serv. Rep
Some days I just shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a phone.
These have been my lovely and oh so helpful comments to customers today
Call: Man: what about my refund Me: What about it?
Call: After her arguing with me about her needing another person's password to their account. And demanding I give it to her. My response: Dont care if you were the President of the US. For security purposes I am not at liberty to provide you with another person's account information. That person will need to call us.
Call: Woman: I need to you call so and so in Jamaica. She can't call you. Me: Sorry we can't make outbound calls. However we are here until 10pm est so have her contact when it's convenient for her.
Call: Man: I can't have that order sent. I need it stopped Me: sorry it's already on the UPS truck. Man: How is that possible? Me: Our warehouse employees come in very early to print out the invoices and pack up your products so they are out in timely fashon. This order was handed to the UPS driver at 10am this morning. It is now 1pm. What would you like for me to do, send smoke signals to UPS to turn around and give back your package because you forgot to call us on Friday.
Who the hell fed me B!tchyness cereal this morning

especially since I worked as a customer service rep for a year and just got fed up and quit one day because i couldn't take it anymore.

While i do think it was funny I would definitely get pizzed if I was on the receiving end and probably ask to speak to your manager

Very rarely do they ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. They know how to push our buttons and do it all the time. Sometimes you just can't hold back on them.

Me too. While I understand customers can be irritating, IMO there is no need for the scarcasim.

I used to work in customer service and I LOVED to say that we couldn't make outgoing calls!! My calls WERE recorded for training purposes though

my co-worker told someone you were a man 3 minutes ago now you're pretending to be a woman. Did you have a special surgery in the last 3 minutes?
Another person she told ok lady we know it's you so stop pretending to be all these other people. Do you suffer from a personality disorder.
Everyone should spend a day here and you'll come out with some crazy liners too

My favorite part of the job was when my manager told us we were allowed to hang up on the person if they were rude or cursed at us. I was not ever rude to anyone who called my line, ever! I worked in HR for the employee benefits department for Prudential Securities before it was bought out. These people would be big shot money makers who would tell me that they paid my salary all because they didn't meet the deadlines for open emrollment. And they ALL blamed their wives.

OMG I just spit water all over my keyboard.
I did have one person who swore that April had 31 days. I had to sing that song to myself of 30 days have September, April, June and November even though I had a calendar right in front of me

Not in CS but part of my job is to answer logistics questions and this is from the last company I worked for.
CS Rep ~ Customer wants us to send this UPS Ground.
Me ~ Where's it going?
CS Rep ~ Hawaii
Me ~ Can't go ground to Hawaii, has to go air.
CS Rep ~ Why? Can't they drive to Hawaii???
Me ~ Yeah they just finished that bridge they were building.
CS Rep ~ Really? So I'll tell them it can go ground then!
I can relate to those type of questions. We have customers in Hawaii and they are always asking us why we cant send something ground. One person said but it has to go on a plane at some time so why can't it just go on a plane ground
