Not in CS but part of my job is to answer logistics questions and this is from the last company I worked for.
CS Rep ~ Customer wants us to send this UPS Ground.
Me ~ Where's it going?
CS Rep ~ Hawaii
Me ~ Can't go ground to Hawaii, has to go air.
CS Rep ~ Why? Can't they drive to Hawaii???
Me ~ Yeah they just finished that bridge they were building.
CS Rep ~ Really? So I'll tell them it can go ground then!
Actually, not to be a stickler, but you can ship to Hawaii UPS Ground. We didn't think so either here at my job, but you can..just takes like 2-3 weeks from NY to Hawaii. We've done it!

That is good to know, but we always seem to have a problem when we ship to Hawaii and find it easier on air.
Shipping to Guam oh that is a whole other can of worms. It takes forever to get any of products to Guam

I used to be a CSR I had many calls that I would have loved to tell the person on the other line where they could stick it....but we were recorded so that wasn't possible.
one of my all time stupid calls was...
customer: I can't fax you a copy of the form, its the only copy i have and the copy machine is broken.
Me: you still retain your original copy when you send a fax. You don't actually send the physical paper through the phone line.
Customer: yes you do. The paper goes through the wires.
Me: please try to send me the fax, i promise you will still have your original copy.

WOW. That's a definate call.
I love the technical questions. We had one person that called and asked us if they download the form that says click here to download will it download to their computer or does it automatically download to our system.
I had to laugh and to keep me from laughing at them I said well that is a great question, may I place you on hold and find that answer out for you. Their response oh yes of course. And can you find out if it gets downloaded to the company where it gets downloaded to within the company so I can ensure it gets downloaded correctly.
