I've decided that I'm going to un-subscribe from the 8,000 emails I get each day!
I think I get about 45 emails a day but 5 are pertinant. So I know it will take me awhile, but I'm starting to unsubscribe from all the junk mail.
Who's in it with me?

I started doing tis when I got my blackberry, its too much to get all the junk on there. I still have alot of store coupon emails I get, I hate give those up but I'm thinking about it!

I started doing this a few weeks ago. I had no clue how much junk mail came.  and the funny thing is I don't remember signing up for half of them.

I agree about store coupons. I'm going to keep the ones that I actually use.

I have a separate email account for store emails. I find that works best because it doesn't clutter up my 'important' email box.

I just started doing this too
I was getting 5 blue fly emails a day and I don't ever shop there
Plus stores like toys and babies r us - I have no use for that either

I need too! I have over 29,000 emails in my yahoo account cause I cannot keep up with deleting all of the crap I get.

I was overwhelmed when I had over 8,000 emails in my account!!!
I ended up saving the emails I wanted/were important and then deleted everything else. It took me a while, but now my inbox only has a couple of hundred emails. SOOOOOOO much easier.
When I did that cleaning out, I unsubscribed to all the useless crapp I had on there. I still get like 20 emails a day, but it's from places I might find useful.

Same here. I check that one every month or so.
I do the same thing. If I sign up for something I use my "spam" account so that all the junk can go there and it keeps my real account "clean".
