I've decided to hang up my teacher badge...for now...
The school I'm at is NOT a good fit for me, professionally OR emotionally. I've decided that until my kids are older, I need to walk away, for my own sanity. I think it's WONDERFUL that so many teachers find their passion working with inner-city, underprivileged children. But, I've been called a b**** and had chairs thrown at me long enough. It's time to go.
So much for holding my students to high standards.

good luck to you, you have to do whats right for you and your family,
sometimes it really is tough being a teacher and no one can understand that unless they have been in that position. it sounds like its been a terrible time for you so far this year
i hope you find something that makes you happy and fulfilled, whether thats returning to teaching after a very much needed break or pursuing something else

Thanks everyone Financially, this is going to be REALLY difficult, but I'm going to see what else is out there (already interviewed for a part-time assistant position instead) and we'll go from there.

I moved over a year ago and my commute home was about 2hrs.. When I moved, I never imagined the road to motherhood would be this complicated. My hope was to work up until having a baby and then stay home. It was just too stressful doing that commute everyday, combined with some serious corruption going on in my school. It just wasn't worth it and I wasn't happy.
Right now I'm a SAHW, soon to be SAHM I hope!!
