I've had it with pants! Can they be tailored?
I am middle heavy and my legs are skinny for my body. I can not find a single pair of pants (jeans, work pants...nothing!) that fit me properly. If they fit in the tummy, they are way too big in the butt and thigh area. If they fit my legs properly, they don't zip. Does anyone know if I could have the pants altered without ruining the shape of the pants? I'm so frustrated. I've actually considered getting maternity pants so the waist is elasticized and the legs will fit. And obviously the answer is to lose weight, but that's much easier said than done.

I have the exact same problem.. I could wear a pretty small size, until it comes time to zip them..
I hate looking like I have a muffin top so I always get the bigger size..
I guess I don't have too much advice.. I just try not to spend too much on my pants and then just see what fits best
I also wear leggings a lot to totally eliminate the problem

its not cheap but it SOOOO can be done. by the pants that fit in the tummy area, no matter what the pant legs look like, bring them to a GOOD tailor or seamstress, and have them taken in any way you want. they will have to be taken apart to be done, keep the tags on everything untill they confirm they can, but its possible.
I can't imagine it would cost you less then 20-30 per pair of pants though, its a good deal of work

Yes you can. I have the same problem. I have had it done to one pair of pants and it is better. They just take the seam in by the hip. It cost me $25.

Do the pants with stretch in them fit better.. When I was in retail and a customer came in claiming she cant get pants for the same reason I would give her pants with alot of stretch in them .. I think Guess has some good ones.. Give them a shot and see.. I have the exact reverse HUGE legs and butt but a smaller waist.. Lately the waist is bigg too I wish I never started with those stupid leggings they ruined my life!!!

it much easier to get the waist taken in-you need to find a good tailor- it should be less then $15 to get that done
