I've never read Harry Potter....should I?
I feel like everyone has read these. I never have. I adored the twilight and hunger games series (though hated twilight movies). Would I like HP?
If so, they don't seem to be available on Kindle. Is that right? Do I have to buy the hard copy to read these?

I think everyone should read HP. I truly love that series. A word of warning, the first 3 books are very youthful. But as the books go along and the characters/readers get older, the books get much darker/more adult. As far as finding it online, I can't find it on my Nook either. I heard talks of her putting the movies "in the vault" now that they are done, but I've never heard of this with the books, especially e-books. That's pretty effed up if that's the case!

Fans must be ripping it to shreds and they just need to keep fixing. That's the whole point of beta-phase, to get out the bugs and tune up the features...
But, with that said, Pottermore has been in beta-phase longer than Google+ even was! I had originally heard it was supposed to open this month, the books were supposed to be available early this year...we shall see.

Re: I've never read Harry Potter....should I?
I found the first chapter or two of the first book hard to get into, but once he was in the wizarding world, I was hooked. Worth reading.

I'm obsessed, but i'm not a good fan. lol I always forgot until it was too late. I do go to Pottermore almost daily, though, waiting for the beta to come down.

Re: I've never read Harry Potter....should I?
I absolutely love Harry Potter. I started reading in HS around the time the 4th book came out. The kids at the camp where I was a teacher/counselor were telling me to read it and I said "I don't read children's books"..the kids were 8 or 9, and this was before ti started getting really dark, but then a good friend of mine (who was MIT bound in fact) told me she'd just read them at the behest of her little brother and that they were really good, so DH and I read them together. There was nothing like the agony and excitement of waiting for the next book to come out
