Re: IVF ?
Welllll....there are a few things to consider. First, depends how many eggs they get. Then, if you want to save some for FET in case IVF doesn't work. Also, are you willing to have multiples (2? 3?)? If so, how many?
I never got more than 3 so I never really had to worry about this, but I always put all 3 back since the quality wasn't optimal anyway -- not worth freezing.
How would you feel about terminating one if say all 3 "took"? A lot of clinics request that you agree to terminate if multiples cause a risk to you or the other baby(ies). They should provide you with some information on statistics for your particular situation, and what your options are. I have some lit on this that I can lend you - I got it from my clinic. We can met and I will share, OK?

Re: IVF ?
We were asked the same thing and we are going to opt for 2 - 3 depending on quality. If the quality doesn't look great we'll put back three, otherwise two. Like Kara said, if three take you have to be aware of the fact that they will want to do "selective reduction" which, like a lot of other things, I used to say I wouldn't do but things have changed.

Re: IVF ?
We put 2 back because I was always afraid of one not sticking. The first time around i implanted however I m/ced. We had 7 left to freeze and did a FET and still put 2 back and now I have 3 month old twin boys. You have to look at it, the more you put back the higher the chance of having multiples, and that is something you and your DH need to discuss. Good Luck with whatever decison you make

Re: IVF ?
even after 2 previous failed IVFs I only put two back. I knew we could never survive triplets and I dont think I would have been able to do selective reduction. AND I wanted something left to freeze.

Re: IVF ?
My friend has IVF because of an issue with her husband. She knew that she was fertile so she only had them put two even though they wanted to do 3. She has twin girls

Re: IVF ?
I would never put back one. That to me is a wasted cycle. I put back two and got one to stick, they were both semi good to good quality.
I have 3 eggs frozen and they are mediocre quality. When we dedicde to tranfer them, we will be using all 3 , since the quality is so iffy.
I would wait to see what you get before making the decision....The quality matters so much. But definatly 2-3.

Re: IVF ?
we did three---all wanted to take, one vanished and I am prego with twins. In my family we have 10 year old quads. She was very lucky there were no health issues or fetal mortality or anything. It is a high possibility of a issue. I personally would put no more then 3 if u can handle twins, if u do not feel u can I would do two. good luck!
