IVF abroad
Anyone done this or know anyone that has. After a ton of research I've decided to have IVF in Barbados, just curious if anyone has anymore info I might not be aware of.

I dont. But lots of luck to you.
Is it actually much cheaper there? What made you base your decision on where to have it?....Just curious.

When you factor in travel expenses, I should save about 4 or 5k but honestly the biggest reason is the care you receive there, the stress free environment of being on beach while undergoing everything and their success rates are actually higher. Also I figure if I'm going to spend my life savings and it doesn't work, at least I will have had a two week vacation out of it.
Thank you! To you as well!

Re: IVF abroad
I almost did it. Talk to Sue from IVF Traveler. She's awesome and can take a lot of the stress off the planning.

I posted a similar question months ago. I also considered going to DR to do it. Even saw a Dr over there. The entire procedure including medications was about 7K. The reason why I didn't go ahead was the time. They wanted me to stay the whole month over there, so I had to factor in the loss of income and that if I apply for an FMLA it will have less time to take if I do get pregnant and give birth.

http://www.ivftraveler.com/ I'll look into it. Thank you! The clinic in Barbados will also plan the whole trip if I want them to, but it will be cheaper to do it on my own.

I don't have a total yet but meds and procedure will probably cost about 8k in Barbados, so similar price range, but they only require you to be there for 2 weeks.
