IVF and the 2ww
For those of you that have had IVF or will be doing IVF, for the 2ww are you supposed to (or have you) stay off your feet for the entire time to increase the success? Thanks and and to all my ladies TTC w. or w/o IF

Re: IVF and the 2ww
I was also told to be on bed rest for the first 2 days after transfer. Otherwise just nothing too strenous.

Re: IVF and the 2ww
I was on bed rest for 2 days, the second day I did go downstairs to make myself a cup of tea.
After that no lifting anything over 10lbs, no vacumning, no strenuos exercise, no baths, hot tubs, saunas or swimming, no sex & no orgasms, just be sensible, also don't just sit around for the whole two weeks, you do need to keep the blood flowing around the body. Every RE is different and will give you different guidelines.
It will seem like an awfully long two weeks, good luck

Re: IVF and the 2ww
I was told to just take it easy and to stay warm. Being that it was January it wasn't that hard! I would tie a sweater around my waist when I was in the apartment!

Re: IVF and the 2ww
My RE says that it makes no difference what you do during the 2ww - except no heavy lifting or excessive exercise.

Re: IVF and the 2ww
Thanks ladies...I'm not there yet. I was trying to figure out if I will have to take time off of work when the time comes. My remaining vacation time is scarce! to all!

I only took time off of work for the retrieval, transfer and 2 days after the transfer. Other than that all my appts and monitoring was in the morning.
