IVF vs. FET??
What is the cost of a FET vs. the full IVF? Is there a big difference since you won't have to go through the egg retrieval? I was just talking about this with DH last night and had no idea!

Re: IVF vs. FET??
Cornell in NYC charges $8,900 plus $2,500 for ICSI (if needed) plus $1,000 for hospital fee - total $ 12,500 for a fresh cycle....(plus medications which can run you few thousands)....
FET is about $3,500 or $3,900 so I say there is a big difference....

Oh ok that's good to know. I know I am WAY ahead of myself, just trying to get all the ducks in a row in my head

Re: IVF vs. FET??
yes FET is much cheaper, but if you consider you have gone through IVF first, its actually even more emotionally and financially.

Of course this would be worst case scenario, but at least it wouldn't be like starting over again and paying for another full IVF. I was originally thinking if your first IVF was BFN that you would have to pay the full price each time. It's all so confusing to me, I'm just trying to get things straight in my head

True - but you have to have the embryos to freeze in the first place after IVF - not a guarantee unfortunately.

Yup, I'm learing the hard way that nothing is guaranteed in life.
