I don't know. DS goes NUTS when DH comes home at night--his whole mood changes. Even if he was happy before he came home, he is ecstatic with him home.

Categorically No. Absolutely not. I work 4 days a week and if my son and I were any closer, he would be back in the womb.

I don't think so...I think all babies go through attachments at diff times to diff. people. Johnny is not so much a mamas boy but LOVES DH!

This is my DS too! (and I have been a SAHM the entire time, my DS is now 20 months..)

MY son isn't overly attached to me at ALL.. I mean in new situations or around unfamiliar people he clings to me for a bit but overall is def. NOT a Momma's boy.

I feel very fortunate to agree with this.

The minute he hears my voice it's like his whole world stops and he can't get to me fast enough. He is definitely my boy and so far I can honestly say that none of the separation has changed that.

I concur. DD also goes through phases-right now, she is really attached to me, very clingy but we just go with it because I am sure it will change again.

I don't think so, at least not in my case. Sometimes I feel Troy prefers his Daddy. I chalk that upto he sees me all the time and DH about 1/2 the time.

I don't think so.

I think they want their moms no matter if they are SAH or working moms!

I feel the same way.

I think kids can be equally attached to moms - SAHM or working.

Yes this is true for us too and I am a SAHM as well. DS becomes DH's shadow the minute he comes home...
