Jamie King opens up about fertility struggles
I wish more celebs were open and honest too....
Putting a face to fertility issues, Jaime King took to Instagram on Friday, July 25, to explain in detail the painful lengths she went to in order to get pregnant with her son James, now 9 months.
"For all the women out there who think they are alone in this #youarenotalone #ihavetobebravetosupportothers #realtalkhatterrifiesus," she captioned a picture of a long note.
In the note, King, 35, revealed that she spent eight years struggling before giving birth to James.
"8 yrs of pain & undiagnosed PSOC [Polycystic ovary syndrom] & Endometriosis," she said. "5 miscarriages, 5 rounds of IVF [In vitro fertilization], 26 IUIs [Intrauterine insemination], most with no outcome, 4-1/2 years of trying to conceive, 26 hours of brutal labor, early delivery b/c of sudden preeclampsia, tearing and tearing after the stitches were in once I was home."
The lengthy description inspired many of King's followers to share their own stories in the post's comment section and to thank and praise her for her honesty.
While this is the first in-depth explanation the Hart of Dixie star has provided for her issues with conceiving, this isn't the first time she's talked about her struggles. Back in May she spoke with ABC News about the daunting ordeal. "This baby was a long time in the making and I feel like the universe put a little extra magic dust in him," she told ABC News. "He's like the happiest, most joyful, social and loving [baby]."

I hate that anyone has to deal with IF, but I am happy more people are opening up about it.

Dr. Randy Harris
He's in LA.
A lot of people go to The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (CCRM) to Dr. Schoolcraft when they've exhausted all other doctors near them. He's supposedly the best in the country, if not world.

I just banked a few cycles out there with him, and I will say that my embryo quality was better--lab, protocol, whatevs--and we ended up with blasts that tested normal through CCS (PGD) after being terrified we wouldn't. Schoolcraft is a whip-smart guy, but you have to have a thick skin to endure his bedside manner. I cried after nearly every consult
I also recently opted to move everything home to RMA-NJ before transferring since Dr. Scott there is maybe even more amazing (he is close pals with Schoolcraft) and the lab is equivalent (they developed their embryo culture, etc. together) and much closer to home!
Regarding the OP, I saw this on Resolve and was so happy to see a celeb coming out of the closet since so many keep mum and portray a false reality (though I don't think they're obligated to share their lives with the public necessarily) and I was buoyed for my own case by all she went through prior to finding success!
