Re: January Mamas

so far I am good. Getting a bit sluggish. every day is different. one day I feel tired. the next day I feel fine.

I have so much stuff to do

1) finish the nursery
2) go through all the gifts and put them together
3) get hospital bag together
4) pick a pediatrician

I am sure there is more but the holidays is making me so busy and distracted.

With 3 weeks to go I'm so done!! I'm very uncomfortable, I've had diarrhea since last monday and my acid reflux has been horrible!!! Ok I'm done complaining!
As far as things I need to get done, I'm pretty much ready. We just have to get the car seats inspected.

Re: January Mamas

I'm feeling eh. Some days are better than others, but I'm just blah most of the time. In my head I think I can still do everything, but as soon as I get up and start moving around, I want to collapse. It's frustrating.

Last night I started having contractions at 3 am (after barely sleeping the whole night -- I was just so awake!) and I had 4 of them between 3 and 3:45 when I finally fell back to sleep. When the first one started, I went and got a HUGE glass of water, so of course even once I fell back to sleep, I got up 3 more time to use the bathroom. It's such a cycle! I just never seem to break through my OB's "6 in an hour" but I figure when the time is right, I'll know it.

I have my 37 week appointment today, but I think he's just doing the strep B test. He usually starts internals at 38 weeks.

As far as what's left to do... umm... everything is pretty much done. My bag has been packed for a while. The car seat base has been in my car for a few weeks (I was going places with my friend whose 4-month old uses the same seat base, so we put it in for him and just left it in). The pack n play is all set up in our room and all her clothing is washed and organized by size in her closet and in our dresser.

I still need to write out our "birth plan" on the form the hospital gave us. And wrap a few more Christmas presents. But that's pretty much it. For now, it's waiting for baby. Chat Icon

Re: January Mamas

I feel like crap most of the time. I'm done but not ready lol. The other day I cleaned, washed all of LO's clothing, wrapped gifts and went to look at a house. By time I got done with wrapping I couldn't even walk anymore. My back is killing me! If one more person tells me I'm huge I'm going to slap them.

I still have to:
Pick a Pediatrician
All the stuff from my baby shower is at my moms. So I have to bring it all to my place.
I have to get sheets for the bassinet and set that up.
Install the car seat.
Pack my hospital bag
Find something to wear in the Hospital
Find a coming home outfit for DS. I have one but its my backup just in case I cant find anything I love.

I feel like I have SO much to do.

5 1/2 weeks to go and I'm over it. I can barely pick up DS anymore and I'm too tired to chase after him so he has the run of the house.

We haven't done anything yet. I'm attempting to buy furniture this week. We have a bassinet so I'm not worried that it won't be here in time. And we're Team Chat Icon so I have 2 sets of bedding picked out, I'll just pick one up after we get home. Room was already painted a reallly light neutral beige so it'll go with anything. Everything else will just get taken care of as it come I guess.

Re: January Mamas

I need to get bottles, binkies, set up the pack and play, set up the bassinet, take the bouncy seat and swing out of the attic and install car seat bases in both cars. Honestly, I will not kid myself and even attempt this stuff before Christmas. I also have to pack a bag for my DS so that he is ready when he stays at Grandma's.

we will be doing some construction in March to give my DS his big boy room and she will get his old nursery.

other than that...I am ready and not even stressed about having this kid.

I did it on Saturday. Chat Icon Bottles, nipples, and pacifiers.

I'm going to put them in ziploc bags in the cabinet now that they're dry.

I even packed a diaper bag. Maybe I'm a little crazy. I was just trying to organize things!

I haven't opened the breast pump yet, but I have one of those microwave sterilizer bags that I can use as soon as I get home from the hospital to do that. I don't want to open it until I'm sure about pumping.
