January Mommies check in
How is it going? We're in the final stretch!
I am so ready to be done! I don't know how I am going to make it the next 4 weeks. My back is killing me and I think the baby dropped. What does that feel like? I have a lot of pressure.
How about you? Anyone else ready?

I haven't dropped yet...baby is still hanging out in my rib cage. I am getting more and more uncomfortable as each day passes...but I'm so happy that so far I'm not showing any signs of going early.

I haven't dropped. Im not due till the end of Jan. Im so tired though!
I went for my 32 week sono last Friday and they said the baby's head is in position. I still have 7 1/2 weeks to go.

Hi ladies,
I can't believe our time is coming so quickly. I will be honest I am completly done. I am so tired that i could nap all day if I had the time. I go to the doctor on Thursday for my 3 week check and then I'm assuming he will start every 2 weeks. I also go for the growth sono in 2 weeks, so we will see how big they think she is.
By the way she moves I feel like she is already 8 pounds. LOL.
Anyways I'm glad to hear that everyone is doing well, lets stay updated

I am getting my bag ready this weekend- just in case. But she still hasn't dropped- I hope she does soon so I can breathe.
I am really ready to be done- DH is also- he told me the other night he has nightmares all the time that something goes wrong and just wants this over with.
ETA: Five weeks to go and only 2 weeks left for work. My last day is two weeks from today.
Angelbear- when is your last day at work?

Officially it is the 22nd. I told my principal yesterday that I may not make it that long and the only way I wlll if I start to take days off to rest. I can barely walk up and down stairs.

When in January are you ladies due?
Im due the end and spoke to my boss today. I think Im making my last day of work Dec. 22nd. I work with children (day care) and its getting harder and harder everyday (I have 8month olds to 1year)...
Plus, I don't feel like going back after Christmas break. I cringe now when the alarm goes off.

hi guys!!! i cant believe how far we finally are!!!
i am so done too. i can not wait for her to be out!!!!
i'm due the 11th. i defintely think she got lower. other then being really CRANKY i'm okay. my back kills by th end of the day and i am so tired of feeling like i did a thousand situps!!
we are going to start packing the hospital bag this weekend. tomorrow starts my 35th week so i think that is good timing.
i really wanted to work up to the end but at this rate i have no idea. i think 38 weeks will be my cut off. i'm not going back after the new year.
everyone having weight sonos???? i havent yet - i go on saturday i hope they do something different...

You are insane! I stop on the 12- and its not a moment too soon. I give you credit for going the distance. My district is trying to screw me out of my 10 year raise, so I don't feel a bit guilty going so early.

I am jealous of all you ladies! I'm gonna work until I walk myself down to labor and delivery.
Although as I sit here contracting away every few minutes I'm thinking it might be very soon. Baby dropped 1 week ago and keeps dropping.
I just want to make it to my shower this weekend! up to 5 1/2 weeks to go! After the shower I'll pack my bags.
Anyone know where to get a car seat checked?

I am going for my growth sono on friday and I will be 34 weeks. When do you guys have to go for yours and do you think it is too early at 34 weeks???

I can't believe I only have two more days of work. Everyone is starting to lay bets when she is going to born.
I really hope for early- my hands are in agony, the heartburn rediculous and I don't sleep at all anymore. I am ready.

My doc doesn't even do one! She just measures my belly with her tape measure and says I am fine. So I don't know if 34 wks is too early. I know I have grown a bunch in the past three weeks since my 34 wk appointment.

i wont have one until i am 38 weeks i really wish they did it now. i go for my strep b and first internal on Thursday and at that point i will just be starting my 37th week. i am so done!!!! i am so grateful that it is holiday season b/c it is helping the anxiety!!! i cant wait for her to be here!!!!

I am thinking I might have to join the Dec mommies group...I'm 50% effaced and starting to dilate. Contractions are not too strong but they're 5-10 min apart for the past few days and more strong ones are happening every day.
I'm still working...believe it or not it helps. The second I get home they become more painful probably because I'm paying attention.
ETA:

only 1cm dilated
Baby is already a 7 pounder
Tomorrow I start more labor-intensive work so keep your fingers crossed - i want to go between this and next weekend!
