Japanese Starighting at Hair IB- sorry I know its been posted about a lot

so I think I am going to get it done, I really loved the brazillian kertain treatment but its already almost gone and its only 5 weeks. I really need something permenant.

I read mixed things about highlights- Anyone get it done at Hair IB with highlights?
Is there a certain amount of time I should wait between getting them done and the straightening?

How many hours does it take?

do they cut your hair after?

Do I need to use special products?

Do you think its ok to do so close to when i had the kertain treatment done?

they should be able to do it- they wont leave it on as long- I used to get it done with highlights when I first started

2/3 weeks in the normal rule

for me 4 to 5- I have bra strap lenght hair

yes for $20



Do I need to use special products?

I never did- just use sulfate free shampoo now

I would ask them that- I think so

I contacted them and they said they don't reccomend it with highlights but I thought I read on the boards here you can do it

i have done it with hightlighted hair - 5 times without a problem - i wait about a month after highlighting - i also have fine hair

I've been to IB twice where it had been a very long time since I had highlights and they always say they don't want to do it or they can't guarantee the results and both times it came out fine.

Disclaimer - I have very dark hair and only ever gotten "half head" of highlights for brightness.

I had JS done at Hair Village in Woodside. I color my hair (single process not highlights) and they told me I had to wait 2 weeks after having the JS to color. The straightening took about 5 hours , and they do cut your hair after if you want. I don't use any special products.

My friend had JS done there and she highlights her hair. She had it done 3 times. The first 2 it was fine but by the third time her hair was very fried.
