Jason Priestley: First Look at My Daughter "Took My Breath Away"

Parenthood got off to a bumpy start for Jason Priestley and wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley.

Four days after the July 2 birth of their 7-pound, 4-ounce daughter Ava, the couple left L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and brought their brand new bundle of joy home. Once night fell, however, Ava "cried all night," Priestley tells Us Weekly in this week's cover story. "We came home from the hospital and were like, 'Is this what it is like?'"

Luckily for the Priestleys, Ava has adjusted wonderfully to her new home and the first-time parents couldn't be happier. "She is very mellow," Naomi gushes.

It helps that Priestley, 37, has gone from 90210 to Nanny 911! "You gotta be involved," says Priestley, whom his wife, 31, describes as a "very hands-on" dad. "The other day I had her on my chest and she peed on me. But babies are like bunny rabbits. When they pee on you, it means they like you."

Priestley adds, "The first time I saw her, time stood still. It took my breath away."

So cute - It makes me laugh that she was born at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Hospital, that's where all the hospital scene's were from in 90210

I said this on another thread somewhere but I hate when celebs talk about their pregnancy/newborn - they always make it sound like they are the only ones to ever experience it. Maybe it's just that the tabs write it up as "news" - no kidding it's hard with a newborn who keeps you up at night.

I think that when you are conducting an interview with first time parents, you end up asking the same questions. It's entirely brand new to them and they're excited, so they gush. Sure, it might sound all the same - they all come off pretty happy and that's good.

Congrats to them.

They were asked about parenthood and they replied. Im sure they didn't call up the magazine talking about it. Im sure they were contacted to do the story.

People can't be happy about parenthood.

All he said was she took his breath away (which I think is so nice and I would hope anyone would say that about their child)




Maybe I missed something.

What's so WOW about it? I never said they couldnt be happy about parenthood, I just stated that I find it boring bc they all love to seem like they are so unique. My kids took my breath away too
