JC Penney Delivery Vent
We ordered a sofa from JCP.com and approximately a week ago they phoned me to confirm everything. I asked them about delivery and I was assured that I will get a phone call setting everything up. Then I said, "Ok - because I need a weekend delivery because my husband and I both work and we are not living in the house yet - so no one will be there during the week." Ok - so far, so good.
Yesterday (I am not at work on Wednesdays - but I was not anywhere near our house) I get a phone call. "We have your sofa and we have been outside your house for 15 minutes - we are going to leave it on your front lawn.
What????????
Thankfully we had our super nice painter/contractor at our house and he agreed to sign for it - even had his crew lug the thing into the livingroom (the delivery people aren't responsible for bringing the furniture into the house). But of course our entire interior is being painted - not exactly the time when you want a brand new couch delivered.
They customer service rep was very apologetic when I called - but still - I just needed to vent.
