JC Penny Portraits or Picture People?

I'm looking to do 6 month/Easter photos of DD. Groupon has deals for JC Penny and Picture People which are similar in price and what you get. Has anyone used either in Garden City? Do you like one better than the other? If so why (or why not)?

Can you upgrade to more than one pose?
Any idea how much the disc is if you wanted digital images?

I know, so many questions, I'm going to check each site out now.

EDIT: Doing my research I found out that Target and JCP are the same studio. I've heard so many great things about Target but JCP is more convenient for me.

JC Penny Portraits or Picture People?

I've used both and I like Jcp much more than pic people. Used griupon for both and my experience with pp was that they were pushy on up selling and it was a total turnoff. Jcp (bay shore) always does great shots of my dd. Been using them for 3 years now. No issues.

I've used them both. Upgrading to the cd was the same at both places (I think both it cost about $100). I liked Picture People because they could print the photos right there on site. JCP I had to go back two weeks later to get them, and I hate trekking to the mall.
I found the quality to be the same.

I've used Picture People in GC four times and always had great outcomes. I think it's $100 or so for the CD, but sometimes if you buy more they discount it further. Like, we always buy a trio there (frame with 3 pics), which is $125, but if you buy both, they will sometimes give you a deal.

JC Penny Portraits or Picture People?

Guess it depends where.
I take my own props with me and incorporate them with Picture People's stuff. They seem to have better options. I also like picking up my pictures right there and then instead of coming back. Plus if I have an issue with a picture, they can fix it right away as well. I felt JcP was rather bland and old school. Very cookie cutter standard. The person taking the photos seemed bored and just going through the motions. Whereas PP usually are patient and inventive with the photos.

I really need to get pictures taken again. ugh
