JCP Portrait Studio - Review and PICS

So, last weekend we brought Steven to JCP Portrait Studio at Queens Center mall.

We were not too happy. I told the girl that he is fine on his belly, but she insisted to put thing thing under him that make him mad and look really akward. Also, I told her he had a hat that I wanted him to wear and she said "Ill get some without first then I'll tell you when to put it on." So, then she took a bunch of pics and was like, ok are you ready for the diaper pics. I was like, NO I want pics with his hat. Chat Icon So she got like 3 of them, which only left 4 pictures in his diaper.

There were so many cute faces that he made that she missed. You will see by his facial expressions that he really wasn't diggin' her and he was like "is this chick for real?" Then my sister was trying to make him laugh, which he was doing and the girl goes "don't do that I want him looking at the camera." Usually I am good with thinking on my feet but with the excitement of everything, I couldn't think of anything to say. I should have said "well, I want him smiling." So I told my sister that if we go back, she should stand behind the woman and get Steven to smile. Chat Icon Because she couldnt' do it.

Then, he wanted DH and I to hold him up, but she didn't tell us where to put our hands. When I asked her she said "oh, anywhere it's just for support." So, there are pics of us with our hands looking really akward.

Of all the pictures I am really only happy with about 3 of them. I was so pizzed when I saw them because I KNEW that he made better smiles than the ones she got. Chat Icon

It looks like Kiddie Kandids for his Easter pictures!

I took DS to JCP for his 1 month pics and I HATED them...I will never go back...I had DS baptism pics done at Sears and they came out beautiful (you may want to give them a try)

He looks cute in the pics but I see what you are talking about....I would take him to Kiddie Kandids~

aaawwww, he is beautiful. I love the pictures when he is on his stomach. He seems more relaxed.

I am going to JCpenny's tomorrow for their christeining pic. no i am scared.Chat Icon

i had a similar experience with kiddie kandids. I guess all of these places are hit or miss. It just depends on what kind of day they are having.

I was going to try Target, but they were closed.

I had a good experience with the BRU in college point. Thanks for the suggestion on PP. The only thing is that I have to go all the way to Roosevelt Field for that. It's only about 40 minutes away, but still.

I never understood why they make the babies look like they are laying down....Chat Icon

I was at JCP a few weeks ago to try it out cause I always go to KK, and the girls working there were soooo rude, and they really didn't look like they cared about there job! So we left, and went back to KK and the pics came out great, and we get them right away which I love too!

He looks so adorable though in the pics!Chat Icon I love the hat one!!

I would try KK next!!Chat Icon

Re: JCP Portrait Studio - Review and PICS

I think they came out cute. But, as you said they were great smiles that got away. I hate when that happens!

I really think it depends on the person taking the photos. If the child doesn't like them forget it. We were having a really bad time with one of the photographers. And this other one walked in & my kids lit up. I told her straight out. That she will be taken the rest of the photos. Which she did.
