Jcrew--Sizes and Lengths--Have you noticed?
...that everything is not only huge but long? I haven't lost a pound, but I notice that tops and pants are cut so big! I usually wear a 4 in Crew. I ordered cargo pants and they fell down when I zipped them!...I thought maybe it was a 14 for a second! And the tops; I know tunic style is in, but I don't want my favorite JCrew tanks to hit the top of my thigh (they do!). I asked the manager what the deal was and he told me that this season, the sizing is larger. Huh!!!! So weird. Apparently, I need longer arms, legs, and torso to shop there. (I'm sorry; I guess I'm complaining...in the name of fashion!)

I feel your pain
and my Best freind works for them- so I voiced my opinion about the tanks hitting me way to low- and she said EVERYONE ELSE LOVES IT- I told her then need a short lenght also then
as for the pants- I have a pair of size 2 cords- that hang off- I am no size 2
I will take it up again with her on thursday when i see her- she loves feedback

It *****....it's really weird. Normally I woudn't mind...but the lengths in the stuff is just weird. The sleeves are even too long! And that's in an XS top! Who does this stuff fit? Supermodels?

Re: Jcrew--Sizes and Lengths--Have you noticed?
As people in general are larger...clothing manufacturers want to keep their customers so they cut things bigger so that people remain to shop there. For someone who is a a 14-16 (which is usually the largest size), if they cut it bigger...then a person who is actually an 18 will fit into it. Making them feel better because of what the tag says rather than the actual dimensions.
However...wedding dress manufacturers still make dresses and bridesmaid dresses 3 sizes too small

Re: Jcrew--Sizes and Lengths--Have you noticed?
I love that they made the favorite tank longer. I think i like it because pants are cut so much lower and I need something to cover the stomach. Don't know how HR would feel about my belly button showing
But I do hear ya....their pants just don't fit me. Im usually a 2 and it just doesnt work anymore.
