Jeans in store
I am a huge online shopper to the point where I don't even know where to go when I have to go to a brick and mortar store.
But I am so over not feeling comfortable in jeans, having jeans that dont' fit right, or that dont' flatter me, etc
I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to have to go and try them on in a store like in the old days. :
Where do you go for jeans?
Old navy doesn't work for me, never has.
I don't even mind spending a bit more on premium denim but where do you buy your premium denim?
I'm in Suffolk

Definitely invest in a premium pair. You'll never look back! Nordstrom and Bloomingdales both have good selections.

Yeah I am thinking I have to go higher end finally.
I hate jeans. I feel like they flatten my ass or they are too tight in my thighs or they gap in the back or they show too much crack!
I never feel comfortable in them and I never feel I look good in them.

On Nordstrom's website, if you go to their size guides for jeans and you take your measurements the guide is pretty accurate.

For premium, my fav is Joe's.
For non-premium, I bought a pair from NY&Co. on a whim bc I had store credit and they were on sale for 20 bucks. I think they are SoHo skinny style. I actually love them!

Yes i have some Soho Skinnies and I do like them.
But they don't have the color I want in that style

Def go into Saks Off 5th and try on. The premium denim there is always less expensive and they have a very big selection. AG, Paige, Seven, and Citizen all fit really well.
I also havent worn them in over 6-7 years but i recently bought a midrise pair from Express and love them. Shockingly!

Check out TJ MAX, Most stores have a few designer racks. I've scored some real good deals there on Joe's, Paige, and Citizens.

I like the ny and co soho but they don't have lighter colors (which I think is what you want). For that I also like AMERICAN eagle. I'm not usually comfy in jeans and find theirs very soft and comfortable.

I like the Denizen brand by Levis, which I've bought at target. their skinny jeans have a bit of stretch in them..just enough.

Look into madewell and top shop. Both at Nordstrom. Madewell is on the second floor by the fancy dresses and top shop is one floor up by the work out gear (Roosevelt field )

I have SUCH a hard time finding jeans i like anymore
I had a pair of seven jeans and a pair of lucky jeans i LOVED many years ago - they just fit perfect
i know you said the NYCO skinny doesn't come in the colors you want - those are the kind i normally get and i feel your pain as far as colors.
I am no help with in store bc i shop online a lot too ( i also HATE trying on jeans in store. it just aggravates me for some reason).
Have you tried Venus jeans? I have always found GREAT jeans from them.

express has good jeans, but their sizing is terrible. I can be a 00 in one pair and a 4 in another - so when trying on, take multiple sizes of each type of jean in there to save time
my friend is really petite and she swears by Zara jeans - they lift her tush and give her a great toned leg look
american eagle has some good jeggings, but they're hit or miss

I like Express jeans too, but you are right, jean sizing is off. In same exact pair I can be a 2 or 4. You def have to try multiples of the same sizes!

Have you tried on Zara jeans. I love them all. They have different fit and you can find some for $40. Also Top Shop has really nice jeans that fit well. A bit more pricey but worth it.

They have stores pretty much everywhere. There's one on the main floor of Roosevelt Field Mall. Right by Aldo's. They have a few here in the Manhattan as well. Probably a bigger selection here. You can also check online.
