jello shots
to make them I usually 1/2 water and 1/2 vodka...
does anyone know if I can use all vodka to make them?

I think you need the water for them to harden. I do think that all vodka would be really strong!!

I think I used to use 2/3 flavored vodka (to go with the flavored jello) and 1/3 water.
I was considering making them for our block party, but I was afraid the kids would start downing them.

Me too ... otherwise it's like sucking on a vodka shot and not a jello shot  I love jello shots, they are my favorite 'drink'

If you do, be very careful and let your guests know - there are reports of people who have died or gotten sick from alcohol poisoning when doing jello shots because they are sweet and so innocuous as jello shots - people forget they are consuming alcohol very quickly!!!

it's also b/c each shot has varying levels of alcohol in it.
this is why I do the 2/3 method....this way they can have a little more.
try lime jello with southern comfort..
or pineapple jello with Malibu (or some other coconut rum)

Ive made with all vodka , they still got hard. and boy were they yummy, make sure you make the lime jello- OMG with the vodka it is soooooo good!!!
