Jennifer Aniston to Face Angelina Jolie at Oscars
Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, and Angelina Jolie are among the A-list hosts of this year's Night Before pre-Oscar bash, Us Weekly reports in its latest issue, on newsstands now.
The press-free charity event promises to be the first time Aniston and Jolie have met since Pitt left Aniston in 2005 and started a family with Jolie a short time later.
"Jen wants to go but knows it would be a disaster waiting to happen," an Aniston insider tells Us.
A source tells Us that Aniston will be at the event as long as her filming schedule allows. The minimum entrance fee is $25,000 for four tickets, with proceeds benefiting the Motion Picture and Television Fund.
Just three years ago, the same party served as a backdrop for Aniston and Pitt's last public appearance together. Fresh off the announcement of their split, the duo worked the crowd side by side all night.
Adding to the pressure: Jolie, who has said in the past she'd "welcome" a meeting with Aniston, will be receiving congratulations for her pregnancy.
But Aniston seems ready. "She told me avoiding Brad and Angelina is more painful than seeing them," a pal told Us.
A Pitt source tells Us that his attendance will be decided at the last minute, but it is traditional for all hosts of the party to attend.

geez, its been 3 yrs move on already. If this were "normal" people would anyone care if they saw their EX 3 yrs later.

I think though that this may be one of those things that you never really know how you would react/feel unless it happens to you.
someone that died doesn't show up at a party a few years later with a new spouse and a big pregnant belly...
I think people are making this up to be bigger than it might be, but on a personal level, I don't know how much it would still bother you.
sadly the paparazzi documenting everything could make it harder for old wounds to heal.

I don't think anyone knows how he/she would feel until he/she were in the situation. She was married to this man....things ended "suddenly" and now he is basically married with a bajilion kids. Awkward? Sure. Especially the added fuel of everything being dramatized for the media.

This would absolutely bother me, as I'm sure it will bother her - She's a human being - It's 100x worse for her b/c EVERYONE is making such a big deal about it and has been for the past 3 years .............That coupled with the fact that it's Brad Freakin' Pitt we're talking about here ..........
I feel so bad that they're making SUCH an issue out of all of this - As if the whole situation isn't uncomfortable enough ...........

My mom still gets a little anxious if she's going to see my dad for a family event and they got divorced back in 1990.

I do think it will be a little awkward for all 3 of them since this is the first time they'll be together since it "all went down" and for all of the reasons stated above. But I think it's like pulling off a band-aid, the sooner they're "reunited" the better off they'll all be in the end. This will create some real closure, esp for Jen.
I think they're all mature adults, even with the media watching every move, I think they'll all be able to handle themselves properly. I don't forsee a cat fight here, sorry boys!!

i have to say in all honesty... i have seen my ex on numerous occasions and it has been fine. we get along well now.
and if i saw him with his new girlfriend (or wife if he had one), i would have no problem with it.
no one knows how jennifer aniston feels. people assume she is devasted and such because brad moved on so fast... for all we know she's thinking, 'wow, what was i thinking with him?' by now.
i dont think she needs our sympathy.

ugh! these details i did not know
i REALLY hope Jenn BEAMS the night of the Oscars! as difficult as it must have been (or may be to see them together) - she has to know she's better off without that cheating scumbag!
