Jesus Forwards
Can someone explain why my MIL keeps sending me religious emails? I just got one that said
"If I don't get this back, I will know you really didn't read it.
I got this from someone and thought the last part was really a good thought.
If I send this to you, please send it back so I will know that my friends do know the Lord.
Do You Love Him?
This is a simple test:
IF YOU LOVE JESUS, SEND
THIS TO AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE, INCLUDING
THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU!"
It included a poem about Jesus.
Now I'm not religious. I'm pretty honest about it. I was the one who, as my DH crawled under a table, told the priest that I didn't want Jesus mentioned a lot in the ceremony. Also why would she forward it to my mom who she's friendly with? My mom is Jewish. I think the last word I heard from her about Jesus is that she thought he was a "nice guy" with some pretty good ideas. I think she may have been mixing Moses & the 10 commandments with Jesus though.

I always get stuff like this from my Jesus Jumper cousins.
I highly doubt Jesus is concerned that I don't forward stuff on the internet

I am guessing you just don't love Jesus.
This is why I hate these chain e-mails. I particularly enjoy the ones that insinuate something bad may happen to you if you don't send.
Ex: Send to at least 20 people or risk an untimely death after being hit by a freight train.
I actually find these pretty evil.

I think we've had this conversation before, not sure (preggo brain). My uncle forwards (all he knows how to do is forward, can't compose ) a lot of religious e-mails to me and my brother.
I am often tempted to write back...
HELLLLLLLOOOOO, yes I went to Catholic school for 12 years and church but you were at my wedding. Don't you rember, I married a Jew, under a tree, by a Unitarian Minister???? You, and everyone else in the family is gonna have to get over it I can't wait until the twins are born and they all turn blue holding their breath for the Christening invite
Your mother in-law needs to gently (or maybe forcefully... I'll hold her down ) be reminded that her beliefs aren't others and it's not apppropriate to send such preachy e-mails.
I love the cartoon, DEFINITELY send that!

Oh I delete emails like that. I couldn't be bothered. The way I see it, Jesus doesn't know about email, so why would he care. I'm religious, but not that religious.

My Aunt sends me stuff like that and I never respond. I also like when she sends me right wing forwards. Apparently, she either doesn't know me or does and doesn't like me.

I am confident that Jesus has a whole lot more on his mind than how many people you forward these messages to.
I am probably what most people would define as religious and I find the emails annoying too.
