Jet Blue or AA??

I need some advice. My DH and I are going on a cruise in Oct...leaving from San Diego. The boat leaves on Sunday...we are going fly in on Sat. then we are staying in CA for a few days after the boat docks.

My question is, which ariline should we fly with?

Both Jet BLue and AA leave around the same time and are around the same money. Jet Blue doesnt serve meals..Does AA??

I know lots of people love Jet Blue but I really dont want to have to bring my lunch on the plane.

actually you get more food i feel like on jet blue then american - jet blue give s you a cookie, chip, or animal crackers, and you can ask for more, -american just pretzels

it seems like only first class do you get food on american flights - when you go on american's site it will tell you if there is a meal or not


jet blue has the tvs which are nice

but i would have insurance if i flew jetblue the day before a cruise - they do nto have the capabilities to get you on other airlines that american has if there is a problem

The websites may tell you what kind of meals are served for cross country flights.

I would go for jet blue regardless, I would rather eat in the airport and have the snack on the plane and watch TV. It makes the flight go so fast!!

OK...you guys are really swaying me towards Jet Blue!!



I dont know why Im so hung up on the no meals thing...like not eating for a few hours would kill me!!

Jet blue will serve chips, cookies but if you want a meal I would pick AA it is not just preztels (that is only if you go on a flight shorter than I think 3 1/2 hours) b.c you can purchase lunch (sandwich etc) when you go to price ticket click on the $fork/knife sign - it shows you what is available for purchase.

I think both airlines have their pluses and minuses. You will def want to bring food though if you go on Jet blue unless the only thing you want is chips or cookies for the flight.

we just flew jet blue to fort lauderdale
and then aa from miami to ny

jet blue had much more leg room- and they had tvs- they also served snacks..

aa- no tv and significantly less leg room

jet blue all the way.

i say jet blue - its just a better flight - IMO. i flew to from NY to cali on jet blue and it was so much more comfy than when i did it on american.

also - dont base your decision on the lunch. when it was served to me i didnt even eat it - its not like you get a real choice of what you would like to eat - and its small and usually not the greatest tasting.

your better off investing the $5 into a sandwich and flying the more comfy flight - IMO. besides blue chips are my fave...

On longer flights jet blue gives you a better snack. After the serve the original snack alittle later they come around with a biggersnack all wrapped up. It is cheese crackers and some form of granola bar. .. adn you can always go to the flight attendant for more snacks and drinks..

I agree with everyone else..the TVs make the flight go so much faster than a movie...

I love flying Jet Blue....The legroom is amazing & you don't feel cramped at all. Plus having TV's for the entire trip helps my DH get through...

Jet Blue vote here. We flew on AA all the way to Hawaii and got no food!

I am true to blue. The TV's are great. If I have to travel anywhere first airline I check is jetblue to see if they go to the destination I am traveling too. I always take Jetblue to NY. Plus they just opened up service out of a more conveniet airport for travel to and from NY so I love them even more (unfortunately that airport only has one flight in and one flight out on Jetblue for NY travel)

We flew from here to San Fran and then San Fran to Hawaii on American and got nothing.....

I'd totally go Jet Blue!

I have been having the worst luck with Jet blue this year

of the 3 times I have flown them since christmas- I have not gotten home on time once!

I was delayed 2 and half hours last night- for a 3 hour flight from Palm Beach

and from talking to other people on the plane- this flight never takes off on time- I have been delayed on it before as well

I do enjoy the TV- but for what I am paying for a ticket to go to FL for 2 or 3 days- I can no longer take them home from there- they are not reliable enough
