Jewish brides...gift question....
I have a close friend of mine getting married in two weeks that I wanted to give a little something-something to.
The couple is jewish (reformed) and really funky/artsy/young...
I was going to get them a glass/Mezuzah set where they would use the gorgeous colored glass to break during their ceremony and then put the glass into their Mezuzah - but someone else got it for them!
Does anyone have any ideas???? Nothing too expensive, but just a little something special and funky like that.

If they are very observant, maybe a kiddush cup or sabbath candle holders. If they don't observe shabbat/go to services regularly I think I'd stay away from religious items.

I agree. Or maybe with the holdiays coming up you could get them a nice menorah?

If they are artsy..there's some really nice Jewish artwork out there. I'm always eyeing stuff for our home. For our wedding, someone gave us something like this as a gift for our home (it's a home blessing)

Forgive me, I don't know what they're called, but you hang them slanted in the doorways?? I've seen some really beautiful, glass ones.
Ooops, just looked it up - it's a mezuzah.

Re: Jewish brides...gift question....
MIL got me a menorah from an art museum once. DH is Catholic and it was her way of letting me know shes cool with whatever we decide to do religion wise....The gift was really pretty though. We keep it out even when its not the holidays because it's really cool looking.

HaMakor has great judaica!
if you want to give them their gift early, how about getting them their kiddush cup with their names and wedding date engraved on it for them to use during their ceremony?
