Jewish girl has a question....traditional Christmas cookies
I'm going to DH's uncle for Christmas this year and want to bake a platter of cookies, but not sure what kind. What types of cookies are traditional around Chrismas time? I'm already making gingerbread, but not sure what else. Any suggestions?

Honestly, I don't know anyone in my family (or DHs for that matter) who would turn down a good Rugelach!

the honey balls and the confectioner sugar cookies w/pecans in them.
I usually only see these guys around Christmas.
You can probably google "honey balls recipe" - I'll see if I can find the other ones.

Re: Jewish girl has a question....traditional Christmas cookies
Sugar cookies in Christmas shapes, usually with icing
Spritz cookies (from a cookies press) in Christmas shapes, sometimes with colored sugar sprinkles
But really, any kind of cookie is good. We usually have chocolate chip & shortbread.

Sugar cookies...and you can make them in Holiday shapes too! (candy canes, stars etc..)
My mom makes italian cookies called "Jeanettes" (that is how they are pronounced but probably not spelled.
Honey Balls
my aunt makes rice krispies covered in chocolate with red, green and white tiny sprinkles
rainbow cookies are always popular
