Jewish moms - what do I wear to a baby-naming?
My cousin and his wife have a beautiful baby girl . Her baby naming is this weekend. Would dress pants and a twinset be ok to wear? Does DH need a tie? (He's lobbying for a polo shirt and khakis, but I think it's a little to casual). They're having it in their house, not shul.
Thanks!!

In their house, I think slacks and a twin set would be fine for you. For your DH, while a tie is not necessary, I think he needs a step above a polo

Sinces it's not at temple then dress pants outfit is fine. Not sure about your DH. When we had the Bris at my in-laws house it was half and half with men, but mostly b/c a lot of the guys came from work since it was during the week. Of course DH, my father and FIL wore suits, but that's different. Ask your cousin about a suit or not.

For my son's bris, DH was the only person wearing a tie. All the other men wore button down dress shirts and slacks. I think a twin set and dress slacks for you is fine.

In the house I think what you're wearing is fine, I wouldn't do a polo on DH, but def doesn't need a tie either...
