Job board vent
I get there are people out there who have been out of work for so long that they are willing to move into completely different fields. However, on my resume it shows I currently have a job, the kind of job I am looking for and that ALL of my experience is in scientific research. So tell me why I get emails asking if I want to be an insurance salesman, claims adjuster, banker, etc. There is one company I have gotten several emails from and they just called. I know it isn't nice to be rude and burn bridges but I finally told the woman "I am not interested in going into the financial field. And if you had actually read my resume, you would know that." And then I hung up. Sorry, needed to vent. Especially since I get all excited when I get these emails with the subject "career opportunity" only to be disappointed when I read it.

Re: Job board vent
When I've used Careerbuilder I've gotten the same thing and just ignore them......it seems like spam to me anyways.
I think this is one of the dangers of putting your resume out there publicly.

Re: Job board vent
Sales type companies have been doing this for a long time. It is annoying, especially when it is the same companies contacting you over and over again.
