Re: job change during pregnancy
My sister changed jobs (within same comp) while she was pregnant, and the only thing that they were really worried about is her coming back. Good Luck!!

Re: job change during pregnancy
I may not be much help, but I am actually in the process of changing jobs too, but I plan on leaving my company. I have been interviewing and I feel like such a liar when I sit through these interviews. I am only about 8 1/2 weeks. I am worried that when I drop that bomb on the new company I won't be taken in a positive light. But for the sake of my sanity and the health of my baby, I am wayyyyy overdue to leave this job.

Re: job change during pregnancy
its just that i was told in june before i said i was pregnant that i would be promoted in march and then in august when i had a mid year review they told me 12-24 months. this new position is a VP instead of AVP which i currently am more $$ and a much better boss. I dont know if I'll get the job have to get the approval to interview first. the policy here is so stupid becuase now they know i want to look and if i dont get he job it will make me feel awkward with my current group.

Just remember that they don't have to give you FMLA since you won't have enough service.

That's precisely what I am the most worried about, not having a job to go back too! But the other option of staying here for another 8 months makes my stomach do flips! Has anyone ever had a job they been wanting to leave, the pay is good, highly stressful, then wake up one morning and feel physically ill they have to go to work? THAT"s me!! I take soo much abuse all day

Re: job change during pregnancy
I'm sorry to barge in on your board...I just wanted to tell you that I understand what you are going through. I was told 2 days before the bosses all found otu I was pregnant that I was going to be promoted within 2 months time....well those 2 months came and went...and they decided to hire for a different position instead...so there was no money in the budget to promote me. I attempted to interview for another position while I was pregnant...and was told...dont count on getting it...but you should go through the process for the interviewing experience....really nice way to encourage and employee.
after I returned from my maternity leave there was suddenly money to promote me....this job put me under so much stress while I was pregnant. I really wanted to tell them to take the promotion and shove it...but we did need the extra $$...so I had to hold my tonugue.

Re: job change during pregnancy
My advice is to hang in there untill you have the baby and then look for a new job. Or even better try and go out early on disability. Talk to you doctor. Starting a new job won't be any less stressfull.
ETA: O sorry I just read your above post.
