I've been looking for a new job for awhile and recently had a good interview and am hoping to have a few more soon. There is a conference at the end of April that, if I'm still at my current job, I want to go to - but it means asking my current boss to pay for it. Should I just do it and if I get a new job offer tell them I can't start till after the conference? That wouldn't be until May 2nd though.

Also, my boss is the type that if I had to then miss the conference, I would have to pay her back for it and that's like $500 or so.
